The experience

Are you ready for a fun adventure in one of the most green hostels in Sri Lanka? We’re looking for a couple of extra hands to help us throughout the year as social hosts!

If you want to stay in Sri Lanka, enjoy the surf and the sunshine and meet new people, come volunteer at our hostel! We work hard, but we also play hard so don’t worry there will be more than enough time to chill at the beach, go surfing or explore the local towns and places.

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

What you get

1 day off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Program Details

We are looking for social hosts throughout the whole year! (ONLY available for solo travellers, we can't host friends, couples or family members). Please DO NOT send us a message if you're a couple, friends or family members.

What is the job of a social host? It's easy and fun!

As a social host you’re the ‘face and glue’ of the hostel. It’s expected from a social host to be friendly, open minded and try to involve people in the evening activities. We have fun activities everyday like family dinners, quiz- and movie nights and we can go to a bunch of restaurants in town. Also we can go to a party on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Your job is to communicate the daily activities with the guests, make sure that people sign up for the activities, contact the venues about how many people are participating and lead the people through the activities. Your day will consist of doing whatever you want during the day and being back at the hostel at 17:30 to watch the sunset to get the evening vibe started. We also have an ice bath going on two times a week (during the day) that you would moderate. The best part: you get free dinner at most venues and at some venues free (multiple) drinks!

On top of that you'll also take over the instagram account and you can let your creativity flow with stories, reels or posts!
