Program Details

This program brings a small group of children from Japan to Brisbane for a two-week cultural and language immersion experience. The focus is on providing an authentic Australian lifestyle experience while encouraging English use in a natural, fun environment. Activities include games, short study sessions, and multiple day trips to local attractions. Volunteers support daily activities, help engage with the children, and contribute to a positive, safe, and welcoming group atmosphere. All expenses are covered; this is a volunteer-based cultural exchange program.

Activities & Shift

Days can be long as we aim to fit a lot into the schedule, including activities, outings, and study time. Regular breaks are provided as needed, and downtime is built in for both volunteers and children, but volunteers should expect generally full days.

We are looking for volunteers who genuinely enjoy spending time with kids, are safety-conscious, and are able to engage in conversation with the children throughout the day. Volunteers will help supervise and support approximately 9 children alongside a staff team of 3. Help with preparing large group meals is highly appreciated and a big plus. Flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential.

Rules

I guess the one thing I always ask is for honest communication. If you have a concern that affects the integrity of the program then I need to know so I can help. Please communicate with me before the program so that we avoid any "I didn't sign up for this!' situations. We usually have a real blast by the way!
