The experience

This school is in the center of Mizque and has up to 120 teenage girls of secondary school boarding there. this school is special because it also teaches life skills including gardening, sewing, baking in addition to normal subjects.

The girls are always keen interact with foreigners and learn of the culture and language especially English.

volunteers often play sport with them in the evenings too.

What you offer

22 hours of help per week

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 5 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Contribution is put directly into delicious food ingredients and to things like cover incidental breakages at the host. We have also bought educational resources for the students.

Program Details

La escuela de niñas estará abierta a los asistentes internacionales de 2 a 5 p. m. de lunes a viernes. Las actividades nocturnas son opcionales. Podrás elegir la clase y las actividades que quieras hacer con ellos.

Serás alojado en una granja de permacultura cercana a 15 minutos a pie de la escuela. Se le pedirá que haga 1 hora de tareas en la granja por día, alimentando a los pocos animales y manteniendo limpios los espacios compartidos. La comida deliciosa estará en la cocina, incluyendo frutas y verduras del jardín.

Los voluntarios son responsables de cocinar los ingredientes en coordinación para ellos mismos que se proporcionan como parte de este programa.
