Come and have a Great Time in a local Chinese countryside yard:-)

The experience

You can live in a small courtyard in a Chinese village, deeply connected with the local people. We hope that you can do some daily tidying, cleaning, and reception work in the courtyard, and also do some art projects here. We have three little dogs and three little kittens. Two chickens and some vegetable plots, most of the time we live together in the yard, you can experience local bamboo weaving and wood carving.

What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Program Details

Your main responsibilities include daily tidying and light cleaning of the yard.
During the week, everyone cooks together and shares meals. On weekends, when there are activities, meals are usually prepared by designated hosts.
You will also help take care of the small animals in the yard and occasionally work together in the vegetable garden.
On some weekends, we organize nature-based activities for children. You may take them into the forest to play, explore, and share simple English in a fun and natural way.
Most of the time is quite flexible. In your free time, you’re welcome to do handicrafts in the yard, or enjoy outdoor activities nearby such as cycling, fishing, or paddleboarding.

Activities & Shift

Clean up the small courtyard and take care of the small pets, cook, and also take some videos and upload them on social media. Help with some nature activities together.
