The experience

I have an 84 year old father who requires help with mobility, he has a terminal illness so he is currently bed ridden. We do have carers coming in 3 times a day, however we do need help with cooking, helping with breakfast, lunch and evening meal. Plus laundry and keeping the house clean. Its 5 hours per day with one hour required in the evening if my father needs help.

Additional requirements i walking Tito for an hour in the morning.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Elderly Care: Assisting and spending time with the elderly.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Fluent English

Between 27 and 45 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

The requirements will work if the volunteer needs to improve their English . Please do not apply if you are working remotely as I need someone who is flexible and to help with house duties and cooking for my father and ensuring laundry done each week

Activities & Shift

Breakfast cereal, Dog walking in the morning. Cleaning the house daily and cooking food every day...help with shopping.
