The experience

Chainsaw work,cleaning,branches etc and bonfires, also scraping and painting hallway and staircase. Working with us to get property ready for seasonal holiday renting. Also cutting back overgrowth and getting the barnyard tidy and adding guttering to trap the rain water for the horses.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner French

Between 26 and 66 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

We work from about 10am until4:30 in the afternoon. We stop to have lunch together around 1 pm. We are flexible for time starts etc for example if you’re an early riser you can get going earlier and end earlier. We work together supporting one another through our task lists.

Activities & Shift

10-4:30 breaking for lunch around 1pm. At the end of the workday weather permitting we gather around an outdoor fire pit and bonfires on the property.
