Join our family-run hostel, Green Riverside Cosy Home, surrounded by nature and river views. We’re looking for English-speaking volunteers to help practice English with our children (6 & 7 years old) and support reception, social activities, or our Cozy Café. In return, enjoy free accommodation, meals, bicycles, and full access to hostel facilities while experiencing local life and culture

What you offer

1 hours of help per week

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Restaurants: Get discounts at nearby restaurants.

Program Details

Green Riverside Cosy Home is a friendly, family-run hostel located by the river in beautiful Phong Nha. We welcome volunteers who enjoy cultural exchange and spending time with children. The main goal of this program is to help our two children (6 & 7 years old) practice English naturally through daily conversations, games, reading, and simple activities. Volunteers may also support light tasks at reception, social events, or our Cozy Café. In return, you’ll experience local life, culture, and a warm family atmosphere.

• Practice English with our children through play, reading, and daily conversation
• Help at reception (greeting guests, basic communication)
• Join or help organize social activities with guests
• Assist at Cozy Café when needed
• Shifts are flexible, around 7 hours per day
• Plenty of free time to explore Phong Nha

• Be friendly, patient, and respectful with children
• Basic English communication skills required
• Respect house rules and shared spaces
• No smoking or drinking alcohol around children
• Inform us in advance if you need time off
