The experience
We are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator & Digital Media Assistant to support our wildlife rescue center in the Ecuadorian Amazon. This role focuses on coordinating volunteer recruitment, communication, scheduling, and onboarding, as well as managing social media content. Due to the high number of volunteers we receive, this position is essential to support animals rescued from illegal wildlife trafficking.
Minimum stay of 3 months.

Program Details
Our wildlife rescue center is located in the Ecuadorian Amazon, near Puyo, and has been operating since 2008 rescuing animals affected by illegal wildlife trafficking. We care for approximately 300 animals and rely heavily on volunteers year-round. This program focuses on organizing volunteer support, strengthening communication, and increasing visibility to ensure proper care, welfare, and conservation impact.
This program requires prior experience, which we need to verify.
The minimum stay for this program is 3 months.
Activities & Shift
This role focuses on coordinating volunteers, supporting recruitment and communication, organizing schedules and onboarding, and assisting with social media content creation. Daily activities include volunteer coordination, responding to inquiries, content planning, and collaboration with the on-site team. Work is from Tuesday to Friday, with weekends free, following the general volunteer schedule.
Rules
-Avoid any activities that may be harmful towards animals at the Zoo.
-Smoking is not allowed near by the animals.
-Mutual respect towards other volunteers in shared rooms is key; bullying, sexual harassment, racism/discrimination, and disrespectful comments are prohibited.
