Program Details

Gomba Kwagalakwe Public Health Support Foundation is a registered Ugandan non-profit organization committed to promoting health equity, accessible care, and community empowerment in the rural areas of Gomba District, Central Uganda. Founded in 2013 by Biomedical Scientist and Public Health Researcher Christopher Kambwe, our motto is "For God and Health Promotion." We focus on vulnerable groups—mothers, newborns, children, the elderly, and low-income families—through sustainable, community-driven programs that combine healthcare delivery with education and prevention.
Our core programs include:
Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (MNCH): Delivering antenatal/postnatal care, skilled births, immunization, nutrition support, and health education to lower maternal and child mortality.
Child-Focused Health Education & Teaching: Engaging directly with children through interactive sessions, school/community workshops, and outreach activities. Volunteers help teach kids essential topics like personal hygiene, handwashing, proper nutrition, disease prevention (e.g., malaria, sanitation-related illnesses), basic first aid, and healthy habits—empowering the next generation to build healthier families and communities.
Elder Care Initiatives: Providing home visits, health check-ups, and support, with future plans for a "Golden Years Care Residence" to address isolation and aging needs.
Primary Healthcare at Ebenezer Clinic: Outpatient services, chronic disease management (e.g., hypertension, diabetes), basic diagnostics, and affordable care to fill gaps in rural health access.
Integrated Community Efforts: Combining Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), nutrition gardens for food security, livelihood resilience, and broader health awareness to create lasting change.
