🌿 About the Experience

Rick’s Farm Stay is a cozy mountain farm stay located in Juayúa, El Salvador.
We are surrounded by nature, animals, fresh air and a calm rural vibe.
We’re creating a beautiful, welcoming space for travelers from all over the world, and we’re looking for volunteers who enjoy working with their hands, nature, and creativity, not just routine tasks.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

🌍 How the Volunteer Program Works at Rick’s Farm Stay

At Rick’s Farm Stay, our volunteer program is based on exchange, respect, and shared responsibility.
Volunteers are part of the daily life of the farm stay, not just workers.

The goal is to create a clean, beautiful and welcoming space while enjoying a calm rural lifestyle in the mountains of Juayúa.

🧹 Daily Tasks & Flow

Each day starts with a short check-in to define priorities. Tasks may include:
• Cleaning and maintaining common areas
• Caring for areas near the animals
• Painting, decorating and small renovation projects
• Improving outdoor spaces and aesthetics
• Keeping the farm stay organized and pleasant

Tasks change depending on the needs of the week, so the experience stays dynamic and interesting.

Activities & Shift

⏰ Work Exchange Structure
• 5 hours per day
• 5 days per week
• 2 days off

Work hours are usually in the morning, leaving afternoons free to rest, explore town, waterfalls, or simply enjoy nature.
