The experience

We’re looking for a kind, respectful, and open-minded volunteer to share a true cultural exchange between English and Portuguese at Simples com Amor Pousada 💛
This experience is about living together: daily conversations 🗣️, shared meals 🍽️, peaceful walks 🚶‍♀️, and group talks that create real human connection.
It’s not an English course, but a space for presence, learning, and meaningful exchange 🤝

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

What you get

3 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

To promote cultural exchange between volunteers, guests and the local community, encourage the daily use of English, and share experiences about exchange programs and life abroad in a simple, light and accessible way.

Activities & Shift

The volunteer will collaborate in moments of cultural interaction, following a simple schedule that may include:

Walks and seaside activities

Shared breakfast and lunch

Local tours

Group conversations lasting approximately 1.5 hours, held at the guesthouse or in specific places such as the beach or the lagoon

The conversations will be basic, everyday conversations, focused on cultural exchange and connection.

Rules

Rules to enjoy the immersion: respect the guesthouse environment and do not use drugs or alcohol during your stay.
