I loved my experience working at the lodge with Daniela, Elias, Love, Dulce, and Frank. And I seriously bonded with their dogs; it was a very hard goodbye. I also got to meet some of their families, and I had such a lovely time getting to know everyone. It is a family when you volunteer there, so if you're open to becoming even a temporary part of their small but close family, it can be incredibly rewarding. It's a place where open-mindedness, communication, kindness, and hard work go a very long way. I hope to visit them one day and I would host them all in a heartbeat in my city.

La Quinta was an amazing experience for me—one of the best of my life. Everyone there is so kind and makes you feel right at home. I'm going to miss all of them so much. I'm already carrying them in my heart: Flora, Elias, Daniela, Frank, Love, Dulce (and a special shout-out to Diogo 😁). All I can say is thank you so much, and see you next time!”

Location is beautiful and Daniela is an amazing chef. Sadly, the hosts are extremely rude and disrespectful. They believe they're giving a volunteer the opportunity of a lifetime so they can "rightfully" mistreat you just because they charge €200/night or €50/dinner per person to guests. However, you don't get half of the respect any guest gets, to put it lightly. Work hours are long, under the sun and you are controlled at all times. If you complain about working 8 hours/day they offer you a laughable payment for the extra 2 hours. Put simply, nothing's worth being disrespected like this!
