The experience

Join us at Paxa Dola, a peaceful olive farm & rural guesthouse near Mostar. Help with light garden/olive grove tasks, simple housekeeping and daily organization. We offer accommodation, WiFi and laundry. Calm and respectful atmosphere (no parties). Couples are welcome, but we provide separate beds (no double bed).

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Beginner Croatian or Intermediate English

Program Details

At Paxa Dola we live a simple and peaceful life, surrounded by nature and olive trees. Volunteers are welcome as helpers and guests, with respect, kindness and a good attitude. Tasks depend on the season, and we work in a calm rhythm without stress.

Activities & Shift

Tasks depend on the season, weather and daily needs. Typical activities include work in the olive grove and garden (watering, weeding, cleaning paths, basic maintenance), simple handwork and small repairs when needed, and keeping common areas tidy (basic cleaning/housekeeping). In October and November we often need extra help with the olive harvest. Some tasks can be physically demanding, depending on the day and season. We usually work around 4–5 hours per day, 5 days per week, with 2 days off. The schedule can be flexible and agreed together.

Rules

We value a calm and respectful atmosphere. This is not a party place: no drugs, no loud behavior and no unregistered visitors. Please respect quiet hours at night, keep shared spaces clean and tidy, and communicate openly if you need anything. Volunteers are expected to be responsible, punctual and respectful of the daily routine. Couples are welcome, but accommodation is in separate beds (no double bed available).
