The experience

Hello! I'm your host in Sanxia New Taipei City Taiwan, a well-known tourist destination in Taipei. Sanxia Old Street is a popular spot, full of traditional architecture, local snacks, and unique shops. If you are English native speaker and love children, you're welcome to come and spend time with me ! I’ve lived in the UK for four years and spent three years in the USA, so I’m excited to meet people from all over the world.

What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Intermediate English

Between 19 and 30 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

United States visa or citizenship

Program Details

I run a small English tutoring center with a total of 5 students ranging from grade 1 to grade 4. I’m looking for 1 native English speakers to assist with our lessons for at least 8 weeks, Monday to Friday, with the following schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Tuesday: 4:20 PM to 6:30 PM or Sat 10:00-12:00

The daily tasks include:

• Cultural exchange and language interaction
• Reading together with students in a relaxed setting
• Conversational English practice
Watching a video with the students – guiding them in a discussion based on the video content, including answering related questions.
Our classes are led by a highly experienced, professional teacher.
Workawayers are only asked to assist alongside the teacher.
