Artist or Web Developer Wanted – Live & Create in Salvador, Bahia

The experience

I’m looking for two types of volunteers in Salvador, Bahia:
a mural artist to paint a mural, and a web developer (or someone tech-savvy) who can help build a simple online booking site.

This is a relaxed exchange focused on creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner Portuguese

Between 21 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Mural artist:
You’ll design and paint a mural in a home/community space. I’m especially interested in themes around culture, Afro-diasporic stories, nature, or community, but I’m open to your artistic style and ideas.

Web developer / tech helper:
You’ll help set up or improve a basic booking website (nothing too complicated—great for someone with experience in websites, no-code tools, or booking platforms).
