Helping with renovating a cottage into a house.
The experience
Daily life with us is varied and hands-on. Tasks will change depending on the projects underway and the season. Volunteers may help with building simple wooden structures, basic electrical and plumbing installations, and the finishing of walls and floors. No prior experience in construction or renovation is required — the goal is to help, learn, and participate at your own pace.

Program Details
We expect our Worldpackers to come with a positive attitude, curiosity, and a genuine willingness to help. You don’t need prior experience, but you do need to be reliable, respectful, and open to learning. Being comfortable with manual work, adapting to changing tasks, and communicating openly are important. We value teamwork, initiative, and care for the place and materials, especially since we work mostly with recycled resources.
In return, Worldpackers can expect clear guidance, patience, and a supportive learning environment. We take the time to explain tasks and ensure everyone feels safe and included. You will be treated as part of the household, with shared meals, fair working hours, and time to rest and explore the surroundings. We aim to create a respectful, simple, and meaningful exchange where everyone feels valued and leaves with new skills and a memorable experience.
