Volunteering Opportunity for Football Professionals or Coaches
The experience
Fundación Shamuy opens a volunteer call for the Specialized High-Performance Sports Center – CEDAR, a comprehensive program that uses football as a formative axis and goes beyond sport. The project integrates education, values, well-being, and community engagement. We seek football professionals, coaches, and technical staff to support the holistic development of children and youth from rural and Amazonian communities in San Martín, Peru.
What you offer
30 hours of help per week
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Sports:
Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.
What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Program Details
The volunteer program takes place at the Specialized High-Performance Sports Center – CEDAR, implemented by Fundación Shamuy in the San Martín region, Peru. CEDAR is an integral program that uses football as a core tool while also promoting education, values, well-being, and community engagement. Volunteers work alongside local staff and communities, contributing to long-term social and educational impact.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers support football training sessions, assist coaches, and contribute to planning and evaluation activities. They may also participate in educational, recreational, and community-based activities with children and youth. Activities are scheduled mainly during mornings and afternoons, from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend events depending on the program calendar.
Rules
Volunteers must respect local cultures, community norms, and child protection policies. Responsible behavior, punctuality, teamwork, and commitment to the program are required. The use of alcohol or substances is strictly prohibited during program activities and any interaction with beneficiaries; however, responsible personal use outside program hours and activities is permitted, provided it does not affect the volunteer’s performance or the organization’s values.
