The experience

We are a small, cozy, green, family run campsite named Quinta Valbom in the north of Portugal. We need 1 or 2 volunteers to support us, helping with bar/café service, assisting in the kitchen, tending to the garden and vegetable patch, and helping with cleaning tasks 🌿🍽️✨. We are looking for friendly, motivated, responsible people willing to learn, contributing to the smooth running of the farm and a welcoming and organized campsite.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

1 day off per week

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate Portuguese or Intermediate English

Over 20 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

This means helping out:
- in our cozy bar (sandwiches, coffee, and tea in the morning and a glass of homemade lemonade, ice cream, and local wines in the afternoon)
- at our cooking evenings (preparing the food twice a week and helping with serving and clearing away)
- with light cleaning (toilet block, bar, and swimming pool)
- in the (vegetable) garden.

All together, this will be an average of 4 to 6 hours per day. The rest of the day you can enjoy our place and surroundings.

In return, you'll receive:
- Accommodation at our beautiful location
- Food and drinks (bread rolls and coffee in the morning and a warm meal during work breaks)
- Use of the campsite rental car/ bike (subject to availability)
- One day off per week

We are a cheerful and caring family with two young girls (6 and 9 years old) who are busy with our guests during the summer months. Would you like to help us make the campsite cozy and beautiful? This way, we can ensure everyone feels at home and we can enjoy our place with our guests.
