Animal Engagement & Enrichment Volunteer
The experience
Create natural enrichment for all animals on the farm, ensuring their environment feels as natural and stimulating as possible. Your days will be spent observing behaviors, designing and testing enrichment activities, and adjusting strategies to keep animals engaged and happy. This role is hands-on, creative, and immersive.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Painting & Decorating:
Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Tent:
You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Fluent English or Intermediate Spanish
Over 21 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
This role is for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of animals in our care. Your focus will be on designing, testing, and implementing creative enrichment activities that keep our animals mentally stimulated, happy, and engaged.
This is not a passive role. You’ll spend time observing animals, learning their behavior, and experimenting with ideas to improve their daily lives. Your work will directly impact their wellbeing and quality of life while contributing to the larger mission of regenerative education and humane care.
You’ll also get hands-on experience with the daily routines of the animals, giving you a deep understanding of how enrichment fits into overall animal care and learning programs. This is immersive, creative, and rewarding work—and it’s not for the faint of heart.
Activities & Shift
Observe animals and identify opportunities for enrichment
Design, test, and refine creative enrichment activities or toys
Collaborate with the team to implement enrichment across species
Track animal responses and adjust strategies accordingly
Participate in daily care routines to understand each animal’s needs
Schedule: 4–6 hours per day, flexible depending on animal needs and project priorities. Creativity, initiative, and adaptability are essential.
