The experience

We are a newly opened peaceful hotel in Tapovan, Rishikesh, looking for volunteers to support light front desk duties and social media content creation. The role includes welcoming guests, sharing basic information, and creating photos or short videos for Instagram. This is a learning-based volunteer role offering free stay, meals, yoga access, and an experience certificate. No payments, or night shifts.


What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Hindi

Between 18 and 28 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

This volunteer program is designed for individuals who want practical exposure to the hospitality industry while contributing to a calm, wellness-focused hotel environment. The role combines light front desk support and social media content creation in a structured, respectful.

The program focuses on learning, cultural exchange, communication skills, and creative expression. It is not an employment or paid role. Volunteers work limited hours and are encouraged to maintain professionalism, personal boundaries, and mutual respect at all times.


Activities & Shift

A. Light Front Desk Support

Politely welcoming guests during arrival hours

Sharing basic information such as:
Wi-Fi details
House rules
Yoga/meditation timings
Common areas and facilities
Noting guest arrival and departure timings
Assisting guests with general questions (non-authoritative role)

Volunteers will NOT:

Handle cash or payments
Confirm, modify, or cancel bookings
Perform night shifts
Manage complaints independently


B. Social Media Content Creation

Taking photos and short videos of:
Rooms, balconies, views
Yoga and meditation sessions
Daily hotel atmosphere
Creating raw content for Instagram reels and stories
Capturing guest experiences only with consent
Maintaining the hotel’s peaceful and respectful brand image


3. Shifts & Working Hours

Daily Hours: 4–5 hours maximum
Shift Options:
Morning Shift: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Evening Shift: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Days Off: 1 day off per week (mutually decided)
Flexibility: Shift timing may be adjusted based on hotel activity
