Program Details
The Friends Of Love Children Home Care is a locally initiated, community-based program located in rural Eastern Uganda. Our program exists to protect, nurture, and empower orphaned and vulnerable children by providing a safe home, daily meals, basic education support, and emotional care.
Many of the children we serve come from families affected by extreme poverty, loss of parents, unstable livelihoods, and social challenges. In times of national uncertainty such as election periods marked by restricted movement and internet shutdowns these vulnerabilities become even more severe. Our program ensures that children continue to receive food, safety, and care regardless of external disruptions.
Through a family-centered approach, we focus on meeting both immediate needs and long-term wellbeing. We provide daily nutrition, access to schooling materials, guidance, and a supportive environment where children can grow with dignity and hope. We also engage the local community and welcome volunteers who contribute their time, skills, and compassion.
Our program is rooted in love, resilience, and collective responsibility. By supporting this initiative, partners and volunteers help sustain a lifeline for children and families during difficult times while building a foundation for a stronger, more caring community.
