The experience

Join a simple countryside life helping a local shepherd with sheep, donkeys, chickens and gardens. Tasks include farming, gardening, small repairs, helping in donkey hoof maintaining, painting and preparing firewood. What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Program Details

I am new in this, and its too complicated for me to plan everything in advance.
To me its ok to be in a relaxed arrangment with volonteers, and to suggest several things that would be good to be done.

Activities & Shift

1. Maintaining fences - almost whole year around - 1-2 hours
2. Help in maintaining donkey hoofs, occasionally - 1 hour
3. Gardenning - almost whole year around - 1 hour
4. Being with sheep while they graze - almost whole year around - 1-2 hours
5. Help in firewood preparing (branches, log-cutting and log-splitting) - almost whole year around - 1-2 hours
6. Meals preparing and cooking - whole year around - 1-2 hours
7. Feeding hay to sheep and donkeys - in winter, november-february - 30 minutes
8. Painting walls inside - often through a year - 1 hour
9. Collecting herbs - march-november - 1 hour
10. Ironning clothes - 1 hour
11. Moving grass using electric trimmer - may-august - 15 minutes
12. Painting iron gates - april-september - 1 hour
13. Cleanning indoor dors and windows - whole year around - 1 hour
14. Chimney-cleanning - march-september - 1 hour
15. Talking to me - conversation about anything - whole year around - 1 hour
16. Suggesting to me anything - whole year around - 1 hour
