🌍 New Program: Non-Paid Contributor Tour Leader (Lombok)

The experience

Join our EPIC TRAVEL program with Worldpackers and Bale Nara Lombok! We’re looking for a non-paid contributor to welcome international guests, guide them through conservation and cultural activities, document the journey with photography and video, and edit content after trips. You’ll work closely with diverse travelers, embrace new cultures, and help create unforgettable stories in Lombok.

What you offer

22 hours of help per week

Tour Guide: Organize and lead tours around the city.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 5 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Social impact travelers cover their own personal expenses (transport pickup, scooter rental, meals, etc) during the program. A voluntary contribution of USD 5 is welcomed and will be fully used to support local community initiatives, though it is not obligatory.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fluent English or Intermediate French

Program Details

We’re looking for a contributor, an experienced Tour Leader for our EPIC TRAVEL program in partnership with and Bale Nara Lombok (Indonesia – Lombok Restoration). This role is ideal for someone who can:
✔ Welcome guests at the airport/arrival point.
✔ Lead and guide travelers throughout their trip.
✔ Document experiences using camera & video gear.
✔ Edit video content for storytelling and social media.
✔ Work well in a team and adapt to diverse cultures.
✔ Engage confidently with travelers from different countries.
Participants will join immersive activities such as coral reef restoration, snorkeling, island tours, and cultural visits under your guidance.

Activities & Shift

Daily Responsibilities (Typical):

🌅 Morning – Guest Arrival & Briefing
Airport/port welcome and check-in support.
Group introductions and daily orientation.

📸 Midday – Guide & Document
Lead travelers to conservation sites (e.g., reef restoration).
Capture photos & videos of activities.
Ensure guests understand schedules and logistics.

☀️ Afternoon – Exploration & Support
Accompany snorkeling/diving sessions.
Guide cultural tours (waterfalls, village visits, etc.).
Assist with participant needs and safety.

🌇 Evening – Story Capture & Editing
Golden hour shoots (sunsets, group moments).
Edit video footage and social content.
Prepare daily recap content or social posts.

📆 Team Coordination & Planning
Attend team check-ins and briefings.
Assist with logistics planning for upcoming days.

Photography & Documentation – Capture photos and videos ethically; obtain consent where necessary.
Content Editing – Deliver video and photo content on time according to program requirements.
Responsible Behavior – Alcohol, drugs, or any behavior that may jeopardize safety or reputation is strictly prohibited.
Flexibility & Adaptability – Be prepared to handle schedule changes, guest requests, and unexpected situations calmly.
Confidentiality – Do not share guest information, project details, or sensitive content without prior approval.
Environmental Responsibility – Follow sustainable practices during tours, activities, and interactions with nature.
Commitment – Attend the full program period unless prior arrangements are made with the management team.
