The experience

We aim to show alternative lifestyle to those living in the city. The 1400 sq m of farmland is more for our own consumption, experimental and educational purposes on permaculture, not commercial farming.

We are looking for like-minded friends who love nature and wish to experience a sustainable lifestyle in a very unique part of Hong Kong.

What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

Farm help like watering and weeding, occasional compost mixing, homemade fertilizers, seasonal seed planting and transplanting. We grow rice, quinoa, seasonal vegetables, ginger, turmeric, herbs, flowers and fruit trees, in eco-friendly ways.


Activities & Shift

Farming could be tedious and not-so-fun sometimes. We are working with you and for longer hours than you. It is 5-hours-a-day, 5-days-a-week work. Helping on house chore is expected. Please consider it a different experience and try to challenge yourself. In return good air, green around you, clean water, board and good food are all within reach.

Rules

As a co-living environment, we expect you share some house chores e.g. dish washing, setting up table for meals etc. We shall do all the cooking. Brats raised by housemaid and not doing housework only leave a poor impression that we may take you less seriously. Before you leave please also clean your living space

Recently we were exploited by brat who treated us as withdrawal center of substance use. Although it is not a job, we still expect some basic work ethics such as reliability, punctuality, time-management, responsibility, initiation, self-discipline and cooperation. Later another brat exploited us with poor work ethic; after leaving badmouth us on social media, inviting prosecutors forcing us to close business.

We lose some faith on humanity. Hope you are the next one saving our faith.
