The experience

I’m looking for a serious, dedicated volunteer with a genuine passion for vintage Hi-Fi audio to help restore, recap and service a private audio collection.

This is hands-on technical work.

What you’ll be working on

A curated collection of classic Hi-Fi equipment, including brands such as:

Sansui, Pioneer, Marantz, NAD, Harman Kardon, Quad, Yamaha, SAE, Carver

All equipment is already here and ready to use. This is not a beginner role.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely


Requirements

Fluent English or Fluent Dutch

Between 18 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

This volunteer position is part of a structured volunteer program based on mutual exchange, respect, and responsibility.

Volunteers support ongoing projects and daily activities in exchange for accommodation, learning opportunities, cultural exchange, and hands-on experience. This is not an employment contract and no salary is paid.

A serious commitment during the agreed period, The volunteer agrees to follow house rules, safety guidelines, and local customs.

The host agrees to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.


Activities & Shift

Our volunteer program hosts people from different backgrounds who bring practical skills, motivation, and curiosity. Volunteers support a variety of projects, such as:

Educational support at our school

Au pair / family assistance

Audio electronics repair and restoration

Electrical and technical projects

IT, web development, and digital organisation

General project support and problem solving

Each volunteer has one main role, but flexibility is appreciated. We value people who:

Respect shared spaces and routines

This program works best for volunteers who enjoy contributing meaningfully rather than “just passing through”.


Rules

To keep the program healthy and respectful, the following rules apply:

Respect the household, school, and shared spaces

No drugs; alcohol only in moderation and never during work hours

No unannounced visitors

Keep common areas clean and organised

Respect privacy and personal boundaries

Follow safety instructions, especially with children, tools, or electronics

Phones and screens should not interfere with responsibilities

Open communication is expected — issues should be discussed early

This program is based on trust and responsibility. If expectations are not met, the agreement may be ended early by either side.
