The experience

🌎 What We Expect From You

We’re looking for volunteers who are:
✅ Respectful and open-minded – ready to live in a simple setting and embrace local customs.
✅ Hard-working but humble – ready to help where needed, from cleaning chores to painting and assisting the builders with the hourse renovation.

What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Fluent Greek

Between 18 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

🌿 About the Project – Shelegar Village Renovation Experience
Our project is based in Shelegar, a peaceful rural village in southern Albania with a strong agricultural and community-based identity. We are restoring and improving a traditional village villa, transforming it into a welcoming, sustainable space for travelers while respecting local architecture, materials, and ways of life. Volunteers join us during an exciting hands-on renovation phase, becoming part of a real rural building project and daily village life.

Activities & Shift

🛠 Daily Tasks & Activities

Most daily tasks are physical and practical, working alongside local builders and hosts. Tasks may include:
House renovation support
Painting walls and surfaces
Sanding down walls and wood
Cleaning and preparing spaces for renovation
Moving, carrying, and organizing building materials
Construction & DIY projects
Assisting with concrete layering and basic masonry work
Simple repairs and DIY improvements
Helping with interior and exterior maintenance
Land & outdoor tasks
Gardening and harvesting seasonal produce
Yard cleaning and general outdoor maintenance

No professional experience is required — willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work carefully is more important than skills.
