Program Details
We are looking for a volunteer leader to support our family and help coordinate daily life with the volunteers at Las Ranitas, a conservation project located on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast.
Ideally, we’re looking for someone who can stay between 2 and 3 months, but we’re open to different profiles and lengths of stay for the right person.
Our project is set in a unique environment between the river, jungle, canals, and the sea, in a remote and non-touristy area. Our work focuses on reforestation, monkey conservation, and biodiversity protection. There is always meaningful work to do to care for the land and support local wildlife, especially capuchin monkeys.
We offer a genuine volunteering experience centered on slow travel and the Pura Vida lifestyle. We live and work in a sustainable way, in close connection with nature. Sharing our culture, daily life, and knowledge of the local ecosystem is an essential part of the project.
You’ll stay in a simple and comfortable house with shared dorms, and three meals per day are provided.
Las Ranitas is a family-led project, and we welcome people who want to connect, learn, and help protect this unique ecosystem.
Your ability to speak both Spanish and English is essential.
