The experience

Experienced carpenters wanted to help build two A-frame Tiny Houses in rural Portugal.
We are professional carpenters with many years of experience, working with high-quality Milwaukee tools. You’ll join us building together on our land, receive financial compensation, live on-site, and be part of a friendly group where teamwork, fun and enjoying the work together matter most. Build, connect and create something meaningful.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Pubs: Get discounts at nearby pubs.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 25 and 45 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

We are professional carpenters living and working on a beautiful property in rural Portugal. There are already three houses on the land, and we’re now building two A-frame Tiny Houses.

We’re looking for experienced carpenters / woodworkers to join our small team.

Activities & Shift

Our days start relaxed. We usually begin the morning together with breakfast and coffee, taking our time before getting started. There are no strict working hours here — enjoyment and a good atmosphere come first.

We usually work until lunch time. Sometimes we go out for lunch, other times we cook together. We always use fresh ingredients — no ready-made meals.

In the afternoon, around 4 or 5, work is usually done, leaving plenty of free time.
Evenings are social and easygoing: sometimes a beer in the village, sometimes cooking together, or just enjoying good company.

This experience is about building, living well, and enjoying the time together, not strict schedules.

Rules

We don’t really work with strict rules or regulations — we prefer simple guidelines based on mutual respect, common sense and good vibes.

The most important things are:

Respect for each other, the property and the surroundings

Open communication and a positive attitude

Enjoying the experience together

Hard drugs are not allowed on the property.
Other than that, we trust people to act responsibly and respectfully.
