Join a meaningful project in Malawi 🇲🇼 as a Sports & Youth Empowerment Mentor. This role supports children and youth through structured sports activities that promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline and positive life values. 🧒⚽ You’ll combine basic sports coaching with mentorship, helping young people grow physically and socially in a safe, supportive environment.

Description:
Volunteers contribute $18 for the expenses such as food, accomodation and Walter. This also include fee for the transportation at different projects sites.

Program Details
This position focuses on using sports as a tool to support youth development, education, discipline, teamwork, and healthy living within the community. The volunteer will work closely with children and young people, helping them grow physically, mentally, and socially through organized sports activities and mentorship.
The role is not only about playing sports, but also about teaching values such as respect, leadership, cooperation, confidence, and positive behavior. Sports are used as a practical way to inspire young people and keep them engaged in constructive activities.
Activities & Shift
Organize and conduct sports sessions (football, netball, athletics, or basic fitness)
Teach basic sports rules, teamwork, and fair play
Support youth in physical fitness and healthy lifestyles
Mentor children and youth, encouraging discipline and confidence
Assist in organizing friendly matches, training sessions, and community sports events
Help identify talented youth and encourage positive development
Rules
Respect the community – local culture, traditions, and leadership must be respected at all times.
Child protection is mandatory – no abuse, harassment, or inappropriate behavior is tolerated.
Punctuality and commitment – volunteers must follow agreed schedules and responsibilities.
No drugs or alcohol during program hours – volunteers must act as role models to youth.
Proper conduct – respectful language and behavior are required at all times.
Follow guidance from coordinators – activities must align with program goals.
Safety first – ensure safe play and avoid activities that may harm participants.
Photography and media – photos or videos of children must only be taken with permission.
