The experience
This position offers hands-on involvement in women empowerment and community sustainability projects in rural Kilimanjaro. Volunteers work closely with women, youth, and schools to support income-generating activities such as animal keeping, fish farming, liquid soap making, gardening, and tree nursery establishment. You will also assist with environmental education and climate awareness activities. The role is practical and collaborative.
What you offer

Description:
This contribution supports the daily operation of Conserve Life Foundation and helps cover essential costs such as local coordination, training materials, project implementation, and community support. The fee also ensures that our programs remain sustainable and continue benefiting women, schools, and local communities.

Program Details
The program engages volunteers in hands-on community sustainability and women empowerment initiatives in rural Kilimanjaro. Volunteers work alongside local women, youth, and schools to support practical, income-generating activities such as improved animal keeping, basic fish farming, liquid soap production, school gardening, and tree nursery establishment. The program also includes environmental education and climate awareness sessions aimed at building long-term resilience. Through daily collaboration, cultural exchange, and skill sharing, volunteers contribute to meaningful development outcomes while gaining a deep understanding of local livelihoods and conservation practices.
Activities & Shift
volunteers will support a range of hands-on community and environmental activities, including:
Training and assisting women in improved animal keeping practices
Supporting basic fish farming activities with women and children
Assisting liquid soap making and hygiene promotion workshops
Gardening, composting, and school food production activities
Establishing and maintaining tree nurseries and participating in tree planting
Supporting environmental and climate awareness sessions in schools
Participating in community clean-ups and eco-activities
All activities are carried out together with local staff and community members.
Shifts
4–5 hours per day
5 days per week
Morning shifts are common; schedules may vary depending on school and community activities
Afternoons and weekends are generally free
