Looking for a cleaning staff in Seoul!

The experience

Mon–Thu work exchange; free private room.
Start: Jan. Minimum 3 months.
Cleaning is about 2 hours within 11:00–15:00 (not 4 hours).
You can start earlier if guests check out early (ex. 10:00), or later if you have a morning schedule (ex. 12:00–13:00).
Time may be shorter or longer depending on rooms.
Cleaning must be done before check-in.
After cleaning, no extra work. Free rice, coffee, kitchen, laundry, Wi-Fi.

What you offer

2 hours of help per day

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

What you get

4 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Between 19 and 45 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

This is a work-exchange program at Yakorea Hostel Dongdaemun.
You work only for cleaning the hostel, and you receive a private single room and free basic food (rice, kimchi, coffee).
There is no paid salary.
You can use the kitchen, laundry, and Wi-Fi for free.
After finishing the cleaning, the rest of the day is completely free.
You can join the program for a minimum of 3 months.

Activities & Shift

Your job is hostel cleaning: beds, rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and taking out trash.
Work is about 2 hours within 11:00–15:00 (it is NOT a 4-hour shift).
If guests check out early, you can start early (ex. 10:00).
If you have a morning plan, you can start later (ex. 12:00–13:00).
If there are few rooms, you finish faster. If there are many, it can take longer.
Cleaning must always be finished before guests check in.
After cleaning, there is no extra work.

Rules

• Keep your room clean and respect other staff.
• No smoking inside the building.
• Night quiet hours: 22:00–07:00.
• Do not drink alcohol heavily inside the hostel.
• Tell the manager in advance if you need a day off or have a schedule change.
• Text only for contact (no phone calls).
• Please stay at least 3 months as agreed.
