Program Details
You will be responsible for moving the project from a "great idea" to initial foundations.
You will collaborate closely with the coliving founders to identify school partners, assess hardware needs, and start getting the first pilot school off the ground.
This is a high-autonomy role for someone who wants to leave a lasting legacy on the Kenyan coast.
Activities & Shift
School Liaison: Visiting local secondary schools, meeting with headteachers, and auditing existing facilities.
Logistics & Setup: Coordinating the installation of devices and testing internet/software solutions on-site.
Documentation: Creating a "Succession Playbook" so the program can continue after your stay.
You will be supported by local Kenyans for school liaison who can help with introductions and bridge communication and cultural gaps.
Rules
We don't really have any rules per se. We're a coliving space, and many of our guests are nomads. For school-related activities, we have a safeguarding framework that must be followed.
You need to be comfortable self-managing and self-starting. Good communication skills are essential, and you should feel confident contributing to something big and bold.
This role is not highly structured, so you need to feel comfortable navigating an often unstructured and sometimes chaotic environment.
