The experience

We are a Community Based Organization growing quickly so in need of all skills! If you like to cook, we need you! If you want to help kids with their English, we need you! If you want to collaborate on mosaics, murals or recycled art projects, we need you! If you have any construction skills…we NEED YOU! We are very busy are over here with 68 students and 6 employed single mothers.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

In the rural village of Cape Maclear, within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is just a 2 min walk to the shores of Lake Malawi. We are dedicated to supporting single mothers, children from vulnerable families and orphans.


Activities & Shift

We leave it up to volunteers to decide on their shifts. It is a very casual setting with a lot going on so sometimes people prefer to collaborate late afternoons and weekends instead of at 8am M-F


Rules

1. Children are not allowed inside volunteer lodging
2. No drugs, smoking or vaping in maids lodges or on site
3. Alcohol consumption after activity hours
4. No outside guests
