Garden, House Care & Woodworking in Cappadocia, Turkey
The experience
I live in a large historic house built in the 1940s that I am gradually restoring.
The house requires light maintenance and general care. I have a one-acre garden where I practice boutique gardening, including planting and seasonal upkeep.
I welcome Worldpackers volunteers to help with daily house and garden tasks including light repair, painting, cleaning, etc.

Program Details
Volunteers usually help around 4–5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Tasks vary depending on the season and current needs, and may include light house maintenance, cleaning and organizing, simple repairs, painting, and regular garden work such as watering, planting, weeding, and harvesting.
The working schedule is flexible and arranged through open communication, especially for volunteers who work remotely. There is no strict timetable, but reliability and consistency are important.
Volunteers have their own private room in the house (or may stay in a tent or camper in the garden if they prefer), with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Meals and daily routines are usually shared, creating a relaxed and respectful living environment.
This is a calm, non-party place, best suited for people who enjoy nature, hands-on work, and a slower rhythm of life in a historic Cappadocian setting.
Activities & Shift
This is maybe the 4th time I am writing the same shit: The activities are general upkeep of the house.
Shifts are from 8 to 12.
Rules
Respect for shared spaces, privacy, and the historic character of the house is essential. Volunteers are expected to keep common areas clean and to treat tools, furniture, and the garden with care.
Clear communication, reliability, and a responsible attitude toward agreed working hours are important. This is a calm, non-party environment, so loud behavior, frequent guests, or late-night noise are not suitable.
Smoking is only allowed outdoors. Alcohol is acceptable in moderation.
Volunteers should be comfortable with a rural lifestyle, simple facilities, and an ongoing restoration setting rather than a polished or luxury environment.
