The experience

We are looking for self-motivated, friendly, and reliable volunteers to help with:
- Opening and closing the hostel and café each morning. Greeting guests with a smile, taking orders, taking payments and creating a warm, relaxed morning vibe.
- Help us create and design a menu that our guest will love.
- Drink prep and Light food prep: Making coffee, teas, juices, simple breakfast items and baked goods.
- Cleanliness & Organization of the cafe.

What you offer

24 hours of help per week

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Requirements

Fluent English or Beginner Spanish

Between 21 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

We are looking for self-motivated, friendly, and reliable volunteers for a minimum commitment of one month. Your energy and positive attitude are key to creating a great guest experience.
What you will be doing:
- Opening and closing the hostel and café each morning. Greeting guests with a smile, taking orders, taking payments and creating a warm, relaxed morning vibe.
- Help us create and design a menu that our guest will love.
- Drink prep and Light food prep: Making coffee, teas, juices, simple breakfast items and baked goods.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Keeping the café, coffee station, and prep areas stocked, clean and organized.

Hours: Maximum 24 hours per week.

What you'll get:
-We offer our volunteers a comfortable and friendly living environment, ensuring you have the energy to surf and explore! You will be provided with a comfortable bed in a shared volunteer or staff dormitory room at the hostel. The room is clean, secure, air conditioned, and has access to shared bathroom facilities and lockers.
-You will have full access to our communal guest kitchen to prepare your own meals. This is a great way to save money and share dishes with other travelers and volunteers!
-The hostel is directly in front of a fantastic surf spot! You'll get free, unlimited use of our surfboards (for all levels), and kayaks.
-High-speed, reliable Wi-Fi is provided throughout all our installations—in both buildings and the common areas.
-Dedicated Workspace: For those who need to focus, we offer a special co-working area designed for digital nomads and remote workers.

Activities & Shift

We will need you to help us with 24 hours per week. Schedule is flexible and will be discussed within the interview call.

We're a laid-back family business, and we're excited to partner with you! We're fully committed to building a successful working relationship for both of us.

To keep things running smoothly, it's essential that the expected duties and responsibilities outlined here are consistently carried out to the required standard. We genuinely hope our relationship is a great fit, but maintaining these performance expectations is crucial. Should we find that performance isn't meeting these standards on an ongoing basis, we would, regrettably, need to discontinue this agreement and conclude our working relationship.
