The experience

We are looking for a bartender to help us at the bar of our hostel for 5 hours a day. We are not a party hostel per se, but we do want to increase our bar sales 🍹
We opened just one month ago, and high season is about to kick in!

If you enjoy making cocktails, talking to people, and creating a friendly bar atmosphere, this position might be perfect for you 🙌

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 18 and 40 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Be from outside Mexico

Program Details

Our program consists of working at the bar 6 days a week, 5 hours a day.
In exchange, you will receive a bed in a 6-bed dorm with A/C, Wi-Fi, and hot showers 🚿📶

We also have a kitchen you can use to cook your meals, or you’re welcome to use the main kitchen as well — either option works perfectly for us 😊

Activities & Shift

• Open and run the bar every day from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm (6 days a week)
• Prepare cocktails and serve beers 🍺🍸
• Handle payments, charge customers, and give change
• Keep track of bar stock
• Promote the bar and invite guests to join — we’re looking for someone dynamic and social

We’d also love to include mixology lessons as part of our hostel activities ✨
Helping with social media content is a big plus: taking photos of cocktails and guests, recording short videos of drink preparation, and maybe even sharing a bit about yourself, your style, or some bartending tips and tricks 📸🎥

We are a very service-oriented hostel, where we want guests to truly enjoy their stay and feel at home 🏡
We are not a party hostel, but we do want to push bar sales.

Our cocktail menu features traditional Mexican distilled spirits such as Xtabentún, Nixta, and Rompope, alongside classic cocktails. Promoting Mexican culture through our drinks is an important part of our program 🇲🇽✨
