Program Details

This is an ideal opportunity for travelers who want to experience life in a small town while being surrounded by incredible wildlife and nature. You will need your own sleeping van, camper or car for this position.

Activities & Shift

Because it gets quite hot here, we usually work early in the morning for a few hours and/or after 4:00 pm. The rest of the day is completely free for you to relax, explore the area, or swim in the local river ☀️🏊‍♀️.

Daily help includes:

• 2–3 hours per day
• 3 hours if you are one person
• 2 hours if you are a couple

• Assembling the kitset cabin
• Painting the cabin and fencing around the property
• Some light gardening, if needed

We don’t have accommodation available, but you’re welcome to spend time in the shed during the day, relax under the trees, or explore the surroundings. The town is only a 10-minute walk away and has a general store, pub, and coffee shop ☕🍻.

This area is well known for its incredible caves (over 700!), rich wildlife, and birdlife such as galahs, wild peacocks, and cockatoos. A local bat colony flies over the property every night, and wallabies often visit the land. It’s a perfect place for nature lovers and for those who enjoy a big, star-filled night sky ✨🦇.

Rules

• You manage your own time and cook your own meals.
• We provide a small food contribution of $20 AUD per person per day to help cover expenses.
