Program Details
Our volunteer program supports a small Bedouin school and farm in Tagounite. Volunteers help local children learn basic skills while also contributing to simple, sustainable activities on the land. The program focuses on education, creativity, and community support. We work in a calm desert environment with simple conditions, and we value respect, patience, and cultural exchange.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers assist with daily lessons for the kids, creative workshops, organizing school materials, and light tasks around the farm such as cleaning shared spaces or helping with small projects. A typical day includes a morning teaching session, a break at midday, and light activities in the afternoon. Schedules are flexible depending on the weather and the children’s needs, and we keep the days relaxed but purposeful.
Rules
We ask all volunteers to respect the local culture, the community, and our Bedouin traditions. Kindness and patience with the children and other volunteers are essential. Please help keep shared spaces clean and follow the daily schedule, communicating if anything changes. Alcohol and drugs are not allowed on the property, and respectful clothing is expected in this traditional village. We also ask volunteers to handle materials with care, keep noise low at night, and always request permission before taking photos of the children or community members. A positive and cooperative attitude will make the experience better for everyone.
