Help us to create a magical nature space for future generations

The experience

Are you called to be in service to the land, to Gaia and to humanity. At its core, Elementos project is collaborative, creative and heart centred. We are looking for self motivated and self aware individuals with some prior practical experience of living close with the land. Help is needed in land care, repairs to wooden & cob structures, gardening, woodwork, general maintenance of infrastructure. Van life people welcome.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Additional fee required

Amount: € 35 Per week

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: Volunteers contribute €5 per day for food

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Portuguese

Between 18 and 75 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

A portion of your work will be help with ongoing maintenance with the land. Another portion will be assigned according to your skill set, such as repairs to the cob houses, woodworking jobs, gardening, cooking, and kitchen work, cleaning and possibly creative projects depending on your ability.

Activities & Shift

4 to 5 hours volunteer work per day to include the work assigned to you by the volunteer coordinator. Kitchen & cleaning rota is included in work hours. 2 free days that are arranged prior to start of work. Occasional trips out to local areas of interest and to the local town for shopping etc.

Honesty and accountability are essential. Respectful behaviour to all fellow team members of Elementos.
If after a trial period of a week we find you not to be a good fit for Elementos, we reserve the right to cancel the volunteering arrangement.
