Program Details

Volunteers at Eden Retreat Center. live inside a private nature reserve dedicated to personal development and to running a retreat and workshop center.
It’s an opportunity to experience daily life in nature while supporting a meaningful environment.

Volunteers receive accommodation and ingredients to prepare their own meals. In exchange, each volunteer works around 5 hours per day in scheduled shifts.

This program is for serious and responsible volunteers who understand the commitment involved in supporting a kitchen that prepares meals for retreat participants.

Activities & Shift

Kitchen Shifts & Daily Routine

During retreats and workshops at Eden, the kitchen provides three daily meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — plus afternoon coffee, tea, and cake. Volunteers take part in supporting the kitchen, either by assisting the head chef or, in some cases, by leading the kitchen themselves if they join as experienced chefs.

The work is organized in shifts, and at the beginning of each retreat we create the schedule together as a team. Life at Eden is collaborative, and volunteers help maintain a smooth and supportive kitchen flow during the retreats.

Rules

Volunteer Guidelines

During the volunteer period, we maintain a clear and respectful environment aligned with the purpose of Eden.
No drugs and no alcohol are allowed on the property at any time.
We also prefer volunteers who do not smoke, especially for those working in the kitchen

When there are no retreats or workshops taking place, volunteers receive ingredients to cook their own meals in their free time, outside of their volunteer hours
