The experience

We are a youth-led collective using Art to amplify the voices of girls and young women in disadvantaged communities. We create safe, empowering spaces where they can explore their identities, learn life skills, and challenge the inequalities they face. Volunteers who believe in creativity as a force for change are welcome to join us.


What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Music: Perform to entertain guests, children or local communities.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner Swahili

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Our project uses art, storytelling, and creative expression to empower girls and young people in marginalized communities. We are looking for volunteers who can support us with:

• Supporting dance, drama, and creative sessions.

• Guiding children in storytelling, creative writing, and self-expression

• Assisting with planning and coordinating community outreach activities

• Documenting activities through photos or short videos

• Helping with social media management (creating posts, editing content, growing engagement)

• Supporting website updates and basic content management

• Assisting in resource mobilization, such as researching opportunities, drafting short concept notes, and helping prepare fundraising materials

• Bringing in new creative ideas to strengthen our programs
