The experience

We are looking for friendly, talkative and exceptionally polite and fun person to join our team as a volunteer receptionist at Villa Skansi Hostel on a beautiful island of Hvar, Croatia.If you enjoy working with people, love a lively atmosphere and want to be a part of warm, welcoming environment, you might be the perfect fit.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

1 day off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Intermediate Spanish

Between 21 and 28 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What we expect.
-Excellent communication skills- warm, friendly, talkative and always respectful
- Outstanding English proficiency
- A sociable and confident personality-someone who enjoys interacting with guests
-A helpful attitude -our guests are just numbers: we like to treat them like friends visiting our home
- Dependability and responsibility in following the hostel's daily routine
- Ability to react quickly- if something needs fixing, you. just immediately inform the person in charge of repairs
- EU passport is preferred, but not required
- If you want to stay for the whole season please let us know

Activities & Shift

Shifts are adjusted according to season changing catamaran schedules, but these are daily shifts.

Rules

Warming welcoming guests, handling check- ins and check outs.
Managing all bookings: reservations, rebooking and modifications, and payments.
Providing guests with useful information about tours, our scooter rental , activities and local recommendations
Ensuring smooth operation of hostel's daily schedule
Assisting guests with anything they may need and making them feel genuinely cared for
