The experience

Join our team and support daily surf operations in the water and on Tayta surf house . Volunteers help prepare equipment, assist instructors with groups, capture photo/video content, maintain the school and TAYTA’S surf house space, and promote a safe, positive and eco-friendly environment. A great opportunity to learn, connect with the ocean, and be part of the Soul Surfing vibe in Lobitos.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish

Between 19 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Our volunteers support the daily flow of the surf school, helping instructors, students, and the overall beach environment. This role is perfect for someone who loves the ocean, enjoys teamwork, and wants to grow inside a surf-oriented, nature-connected community.

Main Responsibilities:
• Assist instructors during group and beginner lessons
• Help prepare, clean, and organize surfboards, wetsuits, and safety equipment
• Welcome students and support check-ins
• Capture photos/videos for social media (optional but valued)
• Support beach safety awareness and a positive learning environment
• Participate in eco-friendly actions (waste reduction, recycling, beach clean-ups)
• Keep school spaces tidy and functional
