🌴✨ Calling all creatives! Join us as a Content Creator 📸🎥 in Yungaburra, just 1 hour from Cairns & the Great Barrier Reef. Capture stunning photos and videos of the villas for social media, surrounded by lush nature and amazing wildlife. Perfect for volunteers who love adventure, creativity, and building an unforgettable portfolio!

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

Join us in the heart of the charming heritage village of Yungaburra, nestled in the stunning Atherton Tablelands—a short drive from the Great Barrier Reef and surrounded by waterfalls, lakes, and rainforest walks.

We’re looking for 1 hardworking volunteer to help with social media. In return, you’ll enjoy:

🏡 Accommodation: Your own private room in our modern, comfortable home.*
🍽️ Meals: All food is provided. We supply the ingredients, and you cook your own meals.
👩‍🤝‍👩 Company: Share the property with myself and my friendly housekeeper/receptionist.
🌺 Location: Just steps from local shops, cafés, and a short walk to the famous platypus viewing platform.

*Clarification: We generally host only one volunteer at a time so you can enjoy your own private room. However, there may occasionally be a short overlap, in which case you might need to share the room with one other person.

Activities & Shift

🎥 Content Creation
Photograph villas, interiors, facilities, gardens, and surrounding nature
Capture wildlife moments (tree kangaroos, birds, and even a platypus if you're lucky!)
Film short vertical videos (Reels/TikToks) for social media

🖥️ Editing & Digital Work
Edit photos for Instagram and Facebook
Create simple videos showcasing the stay experience, amenities, and local attractions

🌄 Local Area Content
Capture scenic shots around Yungaburra and nearby highlights
Create simple “things to do” reels (walking tracks, coffee shops, lookouts)

🏡 Light Helping Tasks (not often)
You may be asked to assist with general tasks such as maintenance, cleaning, or gardening. Your main role will always be content creation


Shifts
Volunteers can choose their own working times based on lighting, weather, and inspiration, as long as they complete 25 hours per week.

Rules

As a requirement for volunteering, you must hold current travel insurance and provide proof of this upon arrival before commencing any volunteer duties.

📜 Rules & Guidelines

Respect the property: Treat the home, garden, and belongings with care.
Cleanliness: Keep your private room and shared areas tidy.
Waste Management: Separate recyclables, compost organic waste.
Respect for wildlife: Observe local animals responsibly — do not disturb or feed them.

No smoking or drugs. Moderate alcohol is fine, but no excessive drinking.
