Help & Share in the Algarve: Volunteer at Our Quinta 🌻

The experience

Aloha, we are from Maui, Hawaii, and now live in a Quinta in Albufeira, Algarve, Portugal. We want to create a sustainable Quinta with some rental fruit trees and Gardens to eat and sell. We are active and offer some activities for our guests. We are Christians and go to a Non-Denominational church with people from all over the world. We want to connect with people from anywhere and require them to be non-smokers, non-heavy drinkers.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner English or Fluent English

Between 18 and 45 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

European Union Passport

United States visa or citizenship

Travel insurance

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Rules

No smoking, heavy drinking, or loud conduct. No overnight guests unless first approved by the owners. No pets. We have two cats. It's best if the applicant has a vehicle, scooter, bike or car. There's too many things to experience outside of the Quinta. Beaches galore, hikes. etc.
