The experience

Hello! We're Babette & Harry 👩‍🎨👨‍🔧
Welcome to Mounaval, an old family farm built during the Revolution 🇫🇷, now transformed into a creative, eco-conscious haven! We live here with our 16-year-old football-loving son ⚽ and our two passions: vintage bicycles and visual arts.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Harry, originally from Bavaria 🇩🇪, is a passionate athlete and bike restorer 🚴‍♂️ — vintage racing bikes are his specialty!
Babette is a visual artist 🎨 and gardener with a love for permaculture 🌱, creativity, and delicious food 🥗.
Our farm is a living, breathing project — full of artistic energy, meaningful work, and community spirit 💚

🌻 What you’ll do:
Help us with a mix of tasks depending on the season and your skills:
👩‍🌾 Gardening & permaculture projects
🛠️ Light renovation (we’re building a sauna and a chicken coop!)
🍳 Cooking & helping prepare meals (especially during workshops or events)
🧹 General help around the house & setting up rooms for guests

🕒 Your Schedule:
🧺 4–5 hours per day (flexible)
🛌 1 or 2 days off per week (also flexible)
