Absolutely loved volunteering at the hostel! Tons of fun and you meet loads of great people from all over the world! The atmosphere is super chill and laid back. The hostel is centrally located in Ella and is close to many cafe's & restaurants and many tourist attractions. The work itself is mostly organizing events within the hostel to create a cool vibe (ex. Family dinners, Pub Crawls, Drinking games, etc.). If you are an outgoing and social person then this is the place for you! Felt like a true family vibe ❤️!

I absolutely adored everyone at this hostel! The staff was amazing at helping me feel at home during my stay here and the facilities were also very good. I loved volunteering here and would come back in a heart beat ! Thank you to the team for making my stay so special and memorable.

Very flexible and a fun job. You mainly organize evening events and make sure everyone has a fun night. Everyone was really nice and welcoming and tries their best if you need help with anything :)

I had really nice time at the hostel Ella. My task was to make activities to guest and I had lot of freedom to decide which activities I want to host. All the people at hostel were really friendly and helpful if I needed any help. I felt like I had second family when staying there. Definitely can recommend this place❤️

I volunteered at the Mirissa hostel, and due to it being off-season, there were very few guests at this time, so it did make it quite difficult to fulfil my role of social host, and I felt a little out of place at the hostel. On one of the busier nights there was a family dinner and I hosted a games night afterwards, which was more the sort of thing I'd expected! However, I had a very bad experience with the hostel manager, which meant I no longer felt safe here and had to leave 3 weeks earlier than planned. Please message me for more info, and reconsider as a solo female!

Had a good time at the hostel. The staff are welcoming and good to hangout with. My roll was to interact with the guest and organise games and make sure people are having a good time. They are very chill and just ask to do your best.
