This was my first time volunteering. Before arriving I was quite nervous but was immediately put at ease when I met David, our host. He has a great sense of humor, carefree attitude & enthusiasm for adventure. He trusted us to take initiative during the day with cleaning, organizing, serving customers & restocking the bar. During free time we sunbathed, swam, kayaked & hiked. Not to mention spending quality time with his six adorable dogs, who were great at keeping wild life at bay. Honestly, one of the best experiences I have had during my travels so far. Thank you so much David!

For my first experience as a volunteer it was absolutely wonderful! David is a very respectful, caring and above all very funny host. Volunteer work is not difficult on a daily basis and allows you to learn new things like fishing and perfectly opening coconuts. The presence of the 6 adorable dogs is a big plus for this experience. the host is basic but comfortable. I can only recommend it 100%.

My experience at the host couldn't have been better — a completely natural environment where you can disconnect, surrounded by animals (including the family of puppies, who are the most beautiful and affectionate). The tasks are very simple, and David is an incredibly funny and kind person. I fully recommend this opportunity to anyone looking for something different.

It was truly wonderful. Such a unique vibe there. The natural scenery around the beach is stunning, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The host was super funny and caring, always making sure everyone felt welcomed and comfortable and we were 24/7 protected by 6 sweet energetic dogs. If you're looking to escape the constant buzz of social media and digital life, this is the ideal spot to unwind and disconnect. I highly recommend this experience for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway and whos able to live minimalistic. Thanks David for everything 🌴

David is the soul of the place as well as the 6 dogs. Also had a great time with the whole team. Daily work includes cutting coconuts, refresh ice box, taking care of the bar when tourists come, cooking and cleaning for yourself, the team and the dogs, protecting food from monkeys 🤣. Very friendly and chilling vibe. David was so nice showing everyone of the team plankton, unforgettable experience of life.

This was the best volunteer ever! If you love dogs, love nature and camping and can be without constant wifi connection, this is the absolute perfect place for you. David is the coolest ever and really transforms random people into a bonded team. I will definetly come back as soon as I can :) Thank you soo much!

It was a wonderful experience ! I really liked working in the host Bar, David is very nice and always make sure that you're feeling good. I only stayed one week playing with the dogs, opening coconut (like a ninja) and fishing on the kayak. I really recommend if you like nature and calm :)

One of the best experiences I've had through Worldpackers! I stayed right on the beach, surrounded by nature, monkeys, four playful puppies, and giant lizards – it was wild in the best way. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I felt like part of the family from the start. I learned so many new things – like how to fish, how to open and cut coconuts, and how to cook traditional local meals. Living with just the basics, away from all the city noise, helped me really slow down

I had an amazing time at the host Bar ! I've met beautiful people and I really enjoyed to cook here ! David and Asmi are really kind and funny guys and the work is pretty easy as long as you know how to live in community ☀️ For the next volunteers, here some advices for your stay : 1. bring at least 2 packs of cleaning wipes if your staying more than a week 2. mosquito repellent is necessary but bringing long sleeve clothes is one of the best strategies for mosquitoes ! Thanks again for hosting me !

It was a really nice volunteer mission in a beautiful environment, completely off-grid, allowing to take a real break in a simple the host, reconnecting with nature and spending a lot of time chilling in hammocks or playing games with other volunteers! Job was nice and easy and everything's explained by the volunteers already on-site when you arrive. The big plus is the 6 beautiful doggies you'll spend plenty of time with ! ✨ (Make sure to shop for all the necessities you might need camping wise before hand ~)
