Dettagli del programma
Only for this month of December:
Alternative Opportunity: BEACH HOUSE STAY
We also offer a second option starting now December 12
Duration: 2–3 weeks immersed in coastal life.
Task: Renovate the wooden beach fence (experienced carpenters only).
Accommodation: Guest room with private bathroom and all facilities.
✨ Special Opportunity: If you provide references and wish to extend your stay, we can discuss it. In that case, you’ll have my entire house just for you, as I’ll be traveling abroad during the third week
OUR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT: The island, home to approx 5.000 people, relies primarily on copra production, harvested every 3 months. However, this activity faces growing risks: diseases affecting coconut trees and the impacts of extreme weather threaten the community’s economic stability. Many families go without income during seasons when coconuts are scarce.
We are working hard to make our island more beautiful, and there is still much to do. We need skilled people who truly want to collaborate with heart. Together, we are renovating old buildings and turning them into cozy coffee shops. By April, we will also need a professional chef to teach for 2–3 weeks. The chef will show locals how to prepare appetizers and light meals, and guide them on how to manage their own business.
Because of the weather, several typhoons this 2025 have delayed our work, but our spirit remains strong.
VOLUNTEER CALL FOR "BANTON-RISING PROJECT"
We are looking for people with creative skills in carpentry, electricity and construction. Good comfortable free accommodation and 3 meals a day are offered in exchange for part-time work. Please note: this opportunity is not for beginners or helpers with only basic knowledge
AttivitĂ e turni
What you get?
Swim among turtles, enjoy marine sanctuaries, discover small hidden white-sand beaches, and walk through the mountains where the only sounds around you will be birds singing, monkeys eating, and lizards sunbathing on the roads. If you are sociable, you will be able to interact with a very affectionate and generous indigenous community. Take a break from the crowds and enjoy a retreat in a place without tourists—Banton Island.
You will have the opportunity to combine your vacation with the chance to leave a mark on a community-benefit project in a peaceful island.
Accommodation is in a private room with bathroom and AC, in the recently restored Fort Fuerza de San Jose, located in the main town, just a few steps from the work site. 3 meals a day are included throughout your stay, Filipino-style. There are many small shops where you can buy fruits, snacks, and more.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00–12:00. Afternoons and weekends are free for you to explore.
YOUR TASKS:
Carpenter:
• Build 3 to 4 tables and benches for the coffee shop.
• Design and craft a bed headboard and another piece of furniture for Fort Fuerza (feel free to propose something creative and useful).
• Original designs are encouraged—please let your imagination fly!
• Tools are basic (drill, grinder, circular saw, portable welding machine). You must be able to work with basic tools; we cannot provide sophisticated or specialized machinery.
Builder:
• Renovate small old facilities and transform them into coffee shops.
• You will have the support of an experienced local assistant to speed up tasks. We are looking for builders who enjoy working hands-on alongside us, not just supervising.
• Give the coffee shop a unique, eye-catching finish, and leave your creative mark on the island.
Regole
REQUIREMENTS:
• Deep knowledge of carpentry, electricity, and/or construction; with leadership skills, problem-solving ability, responsibility, and sociability.
• Be very creative in your designs—help us beautify our island.
• Age between 30 and 58. Be healthy and in good physical condition. If you are outside this age range but feel strong and capable of fulfilling the tasks, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
• Riding a motorcycle is imperative (our island is small, with narrow and steep roads. We recommend renting a scooter to explore. There are no cars, no regular public transport, only a few mototaxis, but they are very expensive).
• Be an experienced traveler who enjoys simple living. Our island has no restaurants, banks, or luxury services. It is a paradise only for nature lovers and adventurers seeking a retreat from the ordinary.
• This is best suited for someone who enjoys trekking and swimming. If not, we recommend not coming—you would get bored.
• Must be available between March and April. Duration: 3–4 weeks.
Important Note:
This is a community project supported by local authorities. Your comfortable lodging and meals are provided, so dedication and responsibility are expected. Please do not apply if you plan to work only a little or take constant breaks. We mention this openly because we had this issue with a past volunteer, and we want to avoid repeating that experience.
On the other hand, if you are creative, proactive, responsible, punctual, and social, the community will invite you to local activities, take care of you, and make your stay unforgettable
