Volunteer Adventure Host: Guide, Explore and Create memorable exp

I worked for a month at Compass House where Ilyas is a manager - he's a brilliant guy who has tried to make my stay as best as possible even when there were misunderstandings with the guests. The assigned tasks are standard as in any hostel, but if you don't have time to do some part of the work, you can easily agree with the team to transfer some part of it to the next shift. The coolest thing is that you can, through existing partnerships with other hostels, travel around the island on your days off. it will definitely make your experience even more exciting;)

In the two months I spent in the hostel I was lucky to meet many volunteers who became my family. Managers and volunteers have made my experience memorable. There are severals teams to choose from: apartments, buildings and reception. In each of these you can manage your own commitments and free time. You will share every single moment with the other people of the hostel and for this you will create intense bonds and live unique experiences My heart remained in the hostel and with my beloved international friends

I would say your experience depends on the people you meet. I met amazing friends from all over the world and loved my stay. The 6 weeks here passed by in a breeze. Because it was low season the work was very chill and easy, my manager, Elisa, is a lovely person and always tried to make us feel as comfortable as possible! 10/10 recommend

My experience at the hostel was amazing. The hostel attracts a really nice crowd of people and the other volunteers became a family. It was hard to leave. Ramiro was my boss and he was a super nice guy. Las Palmas is also amazing and very slow paced with amazing weather even in february. I will come back to the hostel in the future and enjoy. I wish dan en seb good luck in the future with their amazing hostels.

This review is about opening the new hostel JUNGLE HOUSE in construction team! Dan & Seb since the beginning told me that my tasks will be different and at the new hostel, which I appreciate it so I can have an image of my time there. Big shoutout to the best manager ever! PAUL! He was amazing with the construction team, respect the hours and he is always around in case you need any help. He is truly such a wonderful person, if you volunteer at jungle house, tell him I say hi! The new hostel is located so well, 5 min from bus stops, 5 min from groceries and all at short walk distance.

This was my first time as a volunteer and I'm glad I ended up here. (I was part of the Compass Hostel team, not the hostel) I met a lot of people, made new friends and had the best time. The hostel is quite new, clean and in a good location. The whole hostel team, volunteers and the manager, were super nice and chill. I definitely recommend this place :)

I was disappointed. Not only by the living conditions in heat, the cockroaches and run-down facilities, but also by the lack of any social activites. If I did not find one by myself, there would not be one. Due to the heat I was always alone during my very long shifts. So I decided to quit this experience after 2 weeks. I really think the place has potential and I met a few wonderful people, but the mood was generally unsatisfied. But we made the best out of it. I have to say it was low-season, which I neither knew or expected in august.. this explains (only) the small amount of guests.

I met a lot of great people, what's make my experience amazing. The work wasn't hard, it was super easy, manager is really cool:)) Unfortunately I didn't like the hostel where I lived, it was too mess and unorganization for me. We had small room and window go inside the reception - inside the building (0% air in the room). I saw few cockroaches in the kitchen, and we had bedbugs in a few rooms (not in the volunteer's room). I left earlier than I planned. Anyway, all your experience depends on people you will meet.
